"Steve Marshall's magic is the perfect blend of east-meets-west. He's a westerner who has adopted an Eastern aesthetic for magic tricks, and this makes for a totally unique experience. See his lecture!"

- Joshua Jay

“Steve has an interesting eye for visual and entertaining magic that audiences understand and enjoy. You can't go wrong by learning from his practical vision of magic.”
- Meir Yedid

Steve Marshall’s lecture consists of material from his award winning "Asian Astonishments" column that ran for 3 years in M-U-M magazine and some of his own material. He has presented this lecture in both the USA and Japan where it has been meed with enthusiastic reviews. It really contains something for everyone for close-up, parlor, and stage venues.

The material in the "Asian Astonishments" portion of the lecture comes from some of the most creative minds in the Asian magic scene today. Steve has added some additional tips and ideas to the effects after actually performing them many times in his own professional shows. He tells funny stories about his adventures performing in other countries and lessons he has learned from living in Japan for 19 years.

Steve also brings a variety of interesting items to sell after the lecture which includes items from the lecture itself and some great items from his good friend and occasional partner in magic Alan Wong.

Not only will you will be entertained by Steve’s lecture but you will leave with some magic that you will be able to perform.

Steve Marshall has been a professional magician and entertainer for over 30 years. He traveled as a clown with RIngling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey circus and has written, produced, and starred in magic shows for Walt Disney theme parks in California, Florida, and Tokyo. He has worked just about every type of venue you can imagine from comedy clubs to cruise ships and The White House to the streets of New York City. He can also do his act in English and Japanese. (And, occasionally, both at the same time!)

Steve has also appeared on the covers of both the M-U-M and The Linking Ring magazines and has written articles for both of those publications (with a 10 year running column in M-U-M) as well as MAGIC and Genii.

In his spare time he likes to paint, take photographs, write songs, and practice card tricks.
