Michael Ammar is one of magic's best known teachers. His body of work encompasses numerous books and videos, global lecture tours, and many television appearances, including The Late Show with David Letterman.

A student of Professor Dai Vernon's, Ammar In 1983, Ammar was awarded the Gold Medal for Close-Up Magic at FISM in 1983. In doing so, he became the second American in the history of the competition achieve that win. 

He has produced over forty video titles, also books and magazines. In 1999, Magic Magazine named him one of 100 most influential magicians of the century.
