CHICAGO-AREA EXCLUSIVE! He's an exciting new thinker in the field of mentalism-based magic. A featured lecturer at Danny Archer's Mindvention in Las Vegas, his ideas have been highly praised by Rick Maue, Alain Nu, and Banachek. This lecture will feature some of his favorite effects in his working repertoire, including a hands-off version of Any Card At Any Number that will fool you, a chair prediction that's incredibly direct and clean, and (as incredible as it sounds) a surefire method to make anyone forget virtually anything! But the focus isn't just on the effects -- it's on the creation, the whys and hows, and the small presentational touches that make these things so damn powerful. This is a lecture you won't want to miss!

Called "one of the best lecturers around" in the August 2008 Linking Ring magazine, Joshua Jay is offering us his new lecture focused on practical, do-able close-up and parlor magic, and Joshua will also exhibit a variety of new effects from his monthly Talk About Tricks column in MAGIC Magazine. The workshop is ALL IMPROMPTU. All skill levels are welcome to learn eight incredible new effects featuring nothing but borrowed objects and an ordinary, shuffled pack of cards.
